November Tire Spotlight: BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO
November 2nd, 2015
Drivers of light trucks and SUVs who are looking for great off-road performance along with low noise and good road manners are able to get the best of both worlds with the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO. The All-Terrain T/A KO is designed with a chunky, computer-optimized all-terrain tread pattern. The high void ratio helps to clean mud and debris from the treads, with interlocking tread blocks and a dense sipe pattern for wet-weather traction and low highway noise. On the edges of the tread, “Shoulder Lock” traction bars let the tire dig in and claw at deep dirt and sand surfaces for aired-down off-road performance.
Internally, the All-Terrain T/A KO is designed with twin steel belts and BF Goodrich Tire’s innovative TriGard construction of three-ply polyester cord layers in the sidewall. A single strand of bead wire is continually wrapped multiple times for enhanced bead strength, and built-in rim protectors help prevent damage to wheels while off-road. The BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO meets the industry’s severe snow service requirements, and is branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
