September Tire Spotlight: Michelin Primacy MXM4

September 21st, 2015
Michelin Primacy MXM4 Tires in Baton Rouge, LAInnovation and “green” design come together in Michelin’s Primacy MXM4, a grand touring tire for luxury sedan and coupe drivers who want low noise and ride comfort along with great all-weather handling.
Designed for better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions, the Primacy MXM4 uses Michelin’s Helio Compound technology, with a sunflower-oil-enriched tread formulation for low rolling resistance. It’s molded into an asymmetric tread design with a European-style tread profile and rounder shoulders for predictable cornering ability. The circumferential grooves channel water away from the tire’s contact patch for enhanced wet-weather grip, with Michelin’s exclusive 3-D Variable Thickness Sipe Technology for added biting edges in wet or wintry weather.
The internal structure of the Primacy MXM4 is designed for low road noise and a smooth ride, just like you’d expect with a premium all-season touring tire. It features twin steel belts and Michelin’s innovative BAZ (Banded at Zero) spiral-wrapped polyamide cord, to stabilize the tread area for long service life and great handling. The great ride quality comes from a polyester cord body. The Primacy MXM4 is backed by a 55,000 mile/6 year warranty for H and V speed rated models, and a 45,000 mile/6 year warranty for W, & and Z ratings.
