Every year, the Modern Tire Dealer of the Year award is given to an automotive industry professional who has made a significant impact on the tire business. Beth Barron – Driving Chabill’s To Success
Beth Barron is the second-generation leader of Chabill’s Tire & Auto Service, a family business rooted in Morgan City, Louisiana. Founded by her father, Charley Gowland, and co-founder Billy Parker in 1968, Chabill’s has been a staple in the community for decades. Barron’s early connection to the company began with weekend chores in her father’s office, but after earning her degree from Northwestern State University, she returned to the business full-time. Beth worked her way through various corporate positions within the company, gradually taking on more responsibilities, and eventually, before her father’s passing in 2019, she was named CEO.
Under Barron’s leadership, Chabill’s Tire & Auto Service has continued to thrive as a community staple, with a strong focus on enhancing customer service. Beth Barron’s focus has honed internal processes and improved how the company operates, using her experience in her previous corporate roles to guide her decision-making. Though some of her changes have been more modern than her father might have envisioned, the core commitment to delivering exceptional service remains at the heart of Chabill’s values.
